Front doors serve as impressive features for both internal and external views, and they hold special importance for architects. Specifically, when entering a building, the front door is the first element a user encounters. Its shape and structure not only provide functionality but also symbolize the overall architecture.
In 1396, Taj‘s expert team took on a stained glass front door project for a residential building in Farmanieh. Typically, this type of door, which is often found in luxury buildings, combines woodrush and stained glass, thus adding to the array of luxury doors available.
The building’s entrance features two doors measuring 3.20 x 2 meters. To further enhance the design, a symmetrical semi-circle space was installed above the doors, which holds four cusps.
Furthermore, stained glass for front doors requires careful crafting to ensure security. For this reason, Taj’s team designs and implements triple-glazed stained glass for both doors and windows. A layer of stained glass is carefully placed between two layers of tempered glass for added strength and durability.
In order to match the building’s classical architecture, the stained glass design follows the same style, thus unifying the patterns. Additionally, the materials used in the stained glass are all manually carved and implemented, which ensures high quality.
Moreover, the use of green and gold colors in the design enhances the structure’s beauty and grandeur. Additionally, clear glass (hyaline) was incorporated to maintain the building’s privacy while also adding architectural elegance.
