Introduction: A True Fusion of Art and Architecture
In luxury architecture, few elements match the elegance and drama of a custom stained glass dome. Especially in residential villas, these domes bring visual depth, artistic value, and architectural sophistication.
The Basra Villa Project, developed by TAJ, showcases how traditional European style can blend perfectly with advanced construction techniques. Every step, from concept to installation, followed strict artistic and engineering standards to ensure excellence.
Classical Design with Grand Visual Impact
This stained glass dome follows a fully classical European design. With symmetrical patterns and ornate glass art, the structure conveys timeless elegance. The dome spans an impressive 9-meter diameter, instantly capturing attention and elevating the space beneath.
The dome serves as a central highlight in the villa’s layout, creating a luxurious atmosphere for residents and guests alike.
Handmade Artistry with Custom Detailing
TAJ designed and produced every piece of stained glass by hand. The glass used in this project features vibrant colors, intricate motifs, and excellent clarity. Each piece fits into the structure with precision, forming a cohesive and luminous surface.
TAJ’s designers developed a custom pattern exclusively for this project. These patterns align with the classical theme and reflect the client’s unique taste. The final result is not only decorative but also highly personal.

Durable Structure with Advanced Engineering
TAJ built the dome’s frame from high-quality steel. The structural parts connect using a bolted flange system, which adds strength and simplifies maintenance.
Before applying paint, all metal components went through full galvanization. This process protects the frame from Basra’s high humidity and heat. Afterward, the structure received a layer of electrostatic oven-baked paint, adding durability and visual harmony.
This dual protection—galvanization and oven-baked coating—ensures long-term resistance against corrosion and climate-related damage.
Smart Placement for Maximum Visual Effect
The dome sits directly above the central staircase, where it draws in sunlight from above. This placement turns the dome into a natural skylight, spreading colorful light across the walls and floors.
Throughout the day, the sunlight creates shifting reflections through the stained glass. The result is a relaxing, artistic atmosphere that changes with the movement of light.
Because the dome is visible from multiple floors, it enhances the visual experience of the entire space.
