Velenjak Penthouse – A Custom Stained Glass Skylight Redefining Luxury Living
The Velenjak Penthouse project is part of an exclusive tower renovation in one of Tehran’s most prestigious neighborhoods.
This penthouse features a custom-designed stained glass skylight dome that redefines modern Iranian luxury architecture.
A Semi-Open Skylight with a View
The skylight is shaped as a dome, but with a unique twist.
It is semi-open and semi-closed, offering filtered light while still providing views of the sky.
This approach lets natural light enter the space through colored stained glass, without fully blocking the openness of the outdoors.
It creates a beautiful blend of shelter and connection to nature.
Blue Stained Glass: Where Light Becomes Art
The dome is crafted from blue stained glass, carefully selected for both color and effect.
The blue tones reduce harsh light, providing natural shade and visual comfort.
As light passes through, it creates changing reflections that shift with the sky’s mood.
This creates a living artwork within the space — elegant and poetic.

Structural Precision, Inside and Out
The skylight dome has a diameter of 4 meters and is installed above the central staircase.
Its supporting structure is reinforced with a metal frame, finished with interior plaster molding for a soft, classic look.
From the outside, the dome is clearly visible from the rooftop garden, where it adds sculptural value to the building.
It glows softly in the evening, becoming a highlight of the skyline.
A Design that Balances Function and Beauty
This skylight isn’t just decorative — it’s also structural and functional.
It helps light the penthouse naturally during the day, and enhances the ceiling height visually.
It also gives a strong architectural identity to the home, combining art, engineering, and lifestyle.
